Most ice cream decisions happen in seconds, standing at the freezer with the lid up. A clear, colourful display makes that moment easy, and turns a quick look into a purchase.
1. Group by format
Give each format its own zone: family tubs together, cones together, Reserve bars and fruit sticks in their own rows. Customers usually know whether they want something to share or something for the walk home, so help them find it fast.
2. Put favourites where eyes land first
The front and centre of the freezer is prime space. Keep your best-sellers there, and use it to introduce a new flavour alongside a familiar one.
3. Keep facings full and neat
A gap looks like an empty shelf, and a jumbled pile looks tired. Refill from the back and keep packs upright with labels facing forward. The purple and gold packaging will do the rest.
4. Let colour lead
Bright Strawberry Sorbet, golden Alphonso Mango, creamy whites and rich chocolates. Arrange flavours so the colours contrast, and the whole freezer looks more inviting.
5. Sell the moment, not just the product
Think about when people buy, and change what sits up front to match:
- Family tubs before weekends and festivals
- Cones and sticks on hot afternoons
- Reserve bars as a richer little treat after dinner
