Four commercial tiers, one trusted brand. Each step up covers more ground and holds more stock, and earns a thinner margin on far greater volume. Find the one that fits your scale and territory.
The smallest investment and the highest margin. You hold stock in a compact godown and serve a local area of about 20 × 20 km with a single two- or three-wheeler.
Bombay Creamery’s partner for an entire revenue district. You supply retailers across a radius of roughly 40–45 km from a mid-sized godown, with up to two commercial vehicles.
A regional cold hub for up to two neighbouring districts. You run a dedicated cold facility and a fleet of refrigerated trucks, holding stock in depth for the wider network.
The largest model: master logistics partner for a sub-state zone of up to five districts. You run a multi-dock depot and a −18 °C reefer fleet, and earn your margin on everything that moves through it.
The overall capital range for setting up the model. Where you land in the range depends on your territory and the scale you start at. We confirm the figure for your territory during our discussions.
Gross margin
The difference between the price you buy stock at and the price you sell it at, as a share of the selling price. It’s earned before your own running costs: rent, power for freezers, fuel and salaries. For CNF it is calculated on throughput, the value of all the stock that moves through your depot.
Registration
The fee to register you as a Bombay Creamery partner, with GST charged on top. Like every payment, it is due only after a written agreement is signed, and is paid only to a Bombay Creamery company bank account.
Security deposit
A refundable deposit you place with Bombay Creamery when you join, returned as set out in your agreement. Super stockist and CNF deposits also earn 8.5% interest.
Initial stock order
Your first purchase of Bombay Creamery products, to fill your freezers or cold room before you start selling. It is stock you sell on — working capital, not a fee. For CNF this is the initial product purchase.
Territory
The area you serve, sized to the model: from about 20 × 20 km for a dealership to a sub-state zone of up to five districts for CNF. Your territory is confirmed in writing in your agreement.
Godown space
The storage you’ll need. Ice cream has to stay frozen, so this is cold storage, growing from a compact godown for a dealership to a cold facility or multi-dock depot for the larger models.
Logistics fleet
The vehicles you run for deliveries. Reefer trucks are refrigerated trucks that keep ice cream at −18 °C or colder on the road, which the larger models need to cover longer distances.
Staffing & tenure
The team you’ll need to run the operation day to day, and the length of the partnership agreement: five years for every model.
